Recorded by Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents, Kingswood) at Powderfinger expat Ian Haug's Airlock Studios, The Halls' second single 'City Lights' builds on the band's polished, dark pop with an earthier swing; a shimmery melancholy that perfectly encapsulates late night loneliness. The track͛s dreamy, wandering lyrics reflect on the determination (and occasional desperation) of ambition, while also musing upon what the city itself is made of.
